A Mother's Love

Sometimes they said “sana hindi na lang kita inere”… pero sabi lang nila yun. Now I understand that every reprimand was borne out of love. In reality, MOTHERS ARE THE THREAD THAT STITCH FAMILIES TOGETHER.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mothers-to-be!

“The essence of being a woman is to become a mother”, said former Miss Universe; “the essence of the feminine genius,” as what Pope John Paul II (the saint) called it. Because only a woman can be a mother. Only a woman can house, cultivate, and grow life within her womb. Ultimately, only a woman chooses to bring that life to fruition. Only a woman chooses to be a mother.

Men cannot physically be mothers. It’s impossible. Further on, a mother is a protector, disciplinarian and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children.

A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to make it as a competent human being. Being a mother is perhaps the hardest, most rewarding “job” a woman will ever experience.

Today we honor all moms, mama, nanay, inang out there for their sacrifice, dedication, and hard work. Mamas are the thread that stitch and hold together the fabric of family life. They are the rocks that sit steady despite the rushing current. Thank you, mama, for all that you do.
